Dr.
Anna
Szabó
Alumni
Architect with a particular interest in digital fabrication with concrete. After various experience in architectural planning, concrete manufacturing and project management, she completed her PhD research at ETH Zürich in November 2020. As a Postdoctoral researcher she continued research work the Innosuisse Project @FenX with focus on large-scale 3D printing of sustainable
mineral foams for insulated building elements. Since February 2022, Anna is now a Junior Scientist in the research group of Cement and Concrete Technology at SIKA Technology.
Work Topic
Dr. Anna Szabo's research investigated potentials for two specific digital concrete processes (SDC + ACDC) to fabricate thin folded concrete structures. Both used set on demand concrete to guarantee high level control over material properties, thereby providing an opportunity to rethink formwork and the processes of casting.
